START A CONVERSATION
The most useful starting point is a clear description of the imaging system, optical function, or component requirement.
Tell us about the optical problem, existing component, sensor, wavelength range, available space, or other requirements you already know. Supporting drawings, photographs, CAD files, sample-part information, or example images can be shared after the initial inquiry.
From there, we can determine whether the project fits our capabilities and what additional technical information may be useful.
USEFUL STARTING INFORMATION
PROJECT TYPES
Projects can begin at different stages, from an early imaging problem to an existing optical component that needs to be reproduced, evaluated, or modified.
You know the function the system needs, but the optical component or configuration has not yet been fully defined.
You are seeing aliasing, glare, reflections, low contrast, or another optical effect that may benefit from optical control.
You have a drawing, sample, legacy optic, or existing component that needs to be evaluated, reproduced, or adapted.
Multiple optical elements, orientations, or functions need to be integrated into a single optical assembly.
PROJECT INQUIRY
A short description is enough to begin. Tell us what the system is doing, what is not working, or what optical component you need.
For specialized optical work, direct technical information is usually more useful than a long formal request. After we receive your inquiry, we can arrange for supporting drawings, photographs, CAD files, example images, specifications, or other project information to be shared when appropriate.
EXISTING OR LEGACY COMPONENTS
Older optical components are not always accompanied by complete current drawings or specifications.
If you are trying to identify, replace, reproduce, or understand an existing component, begin by describing what you know about the part and its application.
Photographs, dimensions, labels, old drawings, packaging information, application details, or the physical component itself may be useful later in the evaluation and can be shared after initial contact.
